Ekanit Panya

Ekanit Panya is a player I keep an eye on as Southeast Asian football keeps rising. The attacking midfielder and winger from Chiang Rai plays for Ratchaburi and the Thailand national team, and at 168cm he's the compact, technical type who wins with feet and brain rather than physique. I like that profile a lot. Thai and broader Southeast Asian football has visibly improved, and players this skilful are why. Anyone facing Thailand who underestimates this kind of nimble, creative talent tends to regret it, and I always find myself pulling for the clever, undersized operators.
