My Take

Emilia Jones is the kind of young actor I find genuinely exciting to watch. Her breakout as the hearing child of a deaf family in CODA demanded singing, signing, and raw emotional honesty all at once, and she carried it with a maturity well beyond her years. What impresses me most is the patience of her career: child roles, then the Netflix series Locke & Key, then prestige work like Task, each step deliberate rather than rushed. She has the rare combination of technical range and emotional access, and I suspect her best adult roles are still ahead of her.
