My Take
Grant Harvey appeals to me precisely because he comes from the margins. Born and raised in Hawthorne, Nevada, and educated at the University of Nevada, Reno, he built a career far from Hollywood's gravity, landing roles in Animal Kingdom and The Secret Life of the American Teenager. I suspect his face suits characters who add depth rather than simply carry the marquee. I have a soft spot for actors who climb through steady, unglamorous work, and Harvey feels like one of them.
