My Take
What I admire about Great-O-Khan is the sheer conviction. Here is a wrestler from Maebashi, a Nihon University graduate, who buries his real name and commits fully to a nomadic-conqueror persona on the New Japan stage. Plenty of performers attempt high-concept gimmicks, but few sell them with this much swagger while still delivering in the ring as a NEVER 6-Man Tag champion alongside Ospreay and Henare. To me, that balance is the trick: the theatrics only land because the work is real. I find it genuinely exciting to see a Japanese wrestler push such a bold creative identity onto the international scene.
