Jirō Hachimitsu

I'll be honest, I used to clock Hachimitsu Jirō as just a big, intimidating dude lurking in the back of a comedy bit, and then you actually listen to him and the timing is razor-sharp. That's the thing about him: the frame says bouncer, the delivery says surgeon. A Kurashiki kid from Okayama who built a whole career out of a quick mouth and a sharper read of the room, and the savage-tongue stuff only lands because there's real warmth underneath it. What gets me is the restlessness, climbing into a pro wrestling ring well past the age where most people are coasting, like comedy alone couldn't burn off all the curiosity. He's been through some genuinely rough health scares too, and even on dialysis, with the duo on hiatus since 2024, he just keeps grinning. Stubborn, soft-hearted, impossible to actually dislike.
