Harry Knowles

Harry Knowles fascinates me as a figure of internet history. With Ain't It Cool News, he proved that a passionate fan from Austin could reshape how Hollywood talked to its audience, long before social media made that normal. That kind of grassroots influence is genuinely pioneering. But his story is complicated; his removal from the Austin Film Critics Association amid serious allegations casts a long shadow. I find myself holding two truths at once, respecting his early impact on film culture while acknowledging the fall that followed. It's a cautionary arc as much as a remarkable one.
