My Take
Henry Surtees is one of motorsport's most heartbreaking what-ifs. The son of John Surtees, the only man to win world championships on both two and four wheels, he carried a genuinely historic bloodline and the talent to honor it. Then in 2009, at just eighteen, a wheel that had flown off another car struck him during a Formula Two race at Brands Hatch. It is the kind of freak tragedy that exposes how unforgiving racing remains beneath its glamour. I think about the career he never got to write, and I feel the right response is simply to keep saying his name.
