Hiroki Onishi

So here's the thing about Hiroki Onishi: when I see a kid born in 1997 who came up through Osaka University of Commerce High School and clawed his way into pro baseball, I immediately picture all the unglamorous reps behind it. I don't have his stat line memorized, and I'd rather not invent one, but I respect the lane he's in: no flashy gimmick, no manufactured drama, just a guy grinding on the mound in a sport that humbles everybody eventually. There's something I genuinely root for in that kind of low-key, blue-collar grit, and I'm curious where his arm takes him.
