Hisashi Ohashi

Hisashi Ohashi is one of those players where the mystery is almost the whole story — born December 1996 in Tsukuba, the first product of Kashima's Tsukuba junior youth team to reach the first team, and a journeyman ever since. Ibaraki has this quiet, grounded energy to it, so I always picture a player from there as the type who just puts his head down and runs, no fuss, no highlight-reel theatrics. Kanazawa, Omiya, Mie, Matsumoto and now Morioka: a career spent moving between clubs builds a certain stubbornness I respect, and some careers exist in the margins, away from the spotlight, and there's something honest about that.
