My Take
Holland is one of those rare artists whose mere existence carries weight. Debuting in 2018 as one of K-pop's first openly gay solo singers, he chose honesty over commercial safety, releasing music independently when the industry offered him no easy path. What strikes me most is the quiet courage in that decision. His songs feel less like products and more like personal declarations, and I suspect they have given comfort to countless listeners who rarely see themselves reflected in mainstream music. He may not dominate the charts, but to me he represents something more durable: an artist who turned vulnerability into a kind of leadership.
