My Take
Calling Hugh Jackman "the Wolverine guy" misses the joke entirely. He played the same clawed mutant from X-Men in 2000 all the way to Deadpool & Wolverine in 2024, and somewhere in the middle of that run he won the 2004 Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical. Snarling comic-book brawler one year, song-and-dance man the next. Add a 2012 Golden Globe for Les Misérables and, in 2019, Companion of the Order of Australia. His private life has not been spotless: reports of an affair with his Music Man co-star Sutton Foster surfaced, and he and Deborra-Lee Furness separated in 2023 after 27 years together.
