My Take

Barinholtz has the rare comic gift of being able to play the loudest idiot in the room while clearly being one of the smartest people on set. His Morgan on The Mindy Project was unhinged in the best way, and Blockers proved he could anchor broad studio comedy without losing his edge. What really won me over, though, was The Oath, where he wrote, directed, and starred in a movie that turned Thanksgiving dread into genuine political horror-comedy. That kind of ambition from a guy most people know as a scene-stealer tells you he's playing a longer game. I'll watch anything he writes.
