Iñigo Pérez

Iñigo Pérez is the kind of football story I find most compelling: a tidy central midfielder whose real fame arrived in the dugout. He never dazzled as a player, but the quiet intelligence required to link play has clearly translated into coaching, and landing the Villarreal job in La Liga is no small thing. I have a soft spot for managers who learned the game by doing the unglamorous work, because they tend to communicate it precisely. Pérez feels like a tactician on the rise, and I am genuinely curious to watch how his ideas mature on the touchline.
