My Take

Ivica Iliev represents the kind of footballer I have a soft spot for: a Belgrade-born Serbian forward who did the lonely, unglamorous work of leading the line at 182 cm. Strikers live and die at the sharp end, expected to deliver in the box regardless of form, and longevity in that role is itself a quiet credential.
