My Take

Iwan Rheon fascinates me because of his range. Playing Ramsay Bolton, one of television's most loathsome villains, requires a strange courage, and he committed so fully that audiences hated him properly, which is the highest compliment. Yet this is the same man who played shy, sweet Simon in Misfits and who won an Olivier Award on the West End stage. Add to that a real career as a guitarist and singer-songwriter, and you have a genuine all-rounder rather than a one-trick performer. I respect artists who refuse to be typecast, and Rheon keeps proving he cannot be boxed in.
