My Take
Jade Jones is a competitor I find genuinely thrilling. Back-to-back Olympic taekwondo gold in 2012 and 2016, a world title, three European crowns, and an MBE and OBE to match, yet what impresses me most is her refusal to coast. Pivoting from the mats to the boxing ring is the move of someone who hunts new mountains rather than guarding old trophies. That restless drive, paired with the explosive speed she showed at 57 kg, marks a true fighter's temperament. From Flint in north Wales to global dominance, hers is the kind of relentless arc I love to follow.
