Jay Tavare

Jay Tavare is one of those actors whose face you recognize long before you learn his name. Most people first met him as Vega in the 1994 Street Fighter film, but I'm more drawn to the broader picture: a Navajo Nation actor carving out a lasting career across film, television, and voice work in an industry that has rarely made room for Native talent. He also writes a blog. I have a soft spot for dependable character actors who give a project texture, and he's exactly that kind of presence.
