Jessica Michibata

What draws me to Jessica Michibata is not the modeling past but the reinvention. Trading the glare of the fashion world for life as an author and a beekeeper feels like a quietly radical choice, and her book on self acceptance suggests someone who did the inner work rather than just chasing the next spotlight. There is something grounded and honest about a person from Fukui who decided that tending bees and writing about being herself was a fuller life. I admire people who walk away from glamour to build something slower and more genuine.
