My Take

Jim Rogers is one of those rare investors who makes you feel like the whole financial world is just one big adventure waiting to be explored. He co-founded the Quantum Fund with George Soros in the early 1970s, and by the time he retired from that partnership he had already racked up returns that most fund managers can only dream about. What I genuinely admire is that he didn't just sit in a Manhattan office running numbers — he literally motorcycled around the world twice and wrote books about what he saw, turning boots-on-the-ground curiosity into investment thesis. His long-running bullishness on commodities and China when almost nobody was paying attention turned out to be prescient. Now living in Singapore, still beating the drum for Asia's rise, still writing, still talking — at over 80 he's proof that the best investors never really retire, they just find bigger maps to study.
