My Take
Joanna Cassidy is the kind of working actor I quietly root for. Cinephiles remember her as Zhora in Blade Runner, but her real story is endurance: a 1960s model who turned professional actress in 1973 and never stopped, gliding between film, television, and voice work for over half a century. She rarely chased trophies, yet she's the dependable pro every production wants on set. There's a quiet dignity in a performer from small-town New Jersey, Syracuse-educated, who simply keeps doing the work. To me, that longevity is far cooler than any single award.
