Joey de Leon

Joey de Leon is the kind of entertainer whose longevity itself is the achievement. A comedian, actor, host, and songwriter from Manila, he has kept Filipino audiences laughing for generations as part of the legendary trio with the Sotto brothers. What I admire most is the sheer versatility paired with staying power. Comedy ages fast and tastes shift, yet he has remained beloved, even earning the Henyo Master nickname. To me that signals not just quick wit but genuine warmth and a deep read on his audience. He is national comfort food in human form.
