My Take
John Abraham is, to me, one of Bollywood's most interesting cases of a model who refused to coast on his looks. The easy path for someone with his physique would have been a career of glossy romantic leads, but the fact that he's collected awards specifically for negative and villainous roles tells you he wanted to act, not just appear. Add producing to the mix and you see a man thinking about the industry as a business, not only a stage. I admire performers who chase difficulty over comfort, and Abraham clearly did.
Overview
John Abraham (born 17 December 1972) is an Indian actor and film producer who works in Hindi films. He is a recipient of one National Film Award along with four Filmfare Awards nominations. Abraham has appeared in Forbes India's Celebrity 100 list since 2017. After a modelling career, Abraham made his acting debut with the erotic thriller film Jism (2003), a sleeper hit.
