My Take

José Miranda interests me as a player navigating one of the harder paths in baseball: the corner infielder who has to keep proving the bat. A Puerto Rican who reached the majors with the Minnesota Twins, he is now a free agent, which to me captures how fine the margins are at this level. I always root for the players who climbed through the minor league grind rather than arriving as a hyped prospect, and his story has that feel. At 27 or so he is still in the window where a strong run could reset his career, and I am curious to see where he lands next.
