My Take

Keldon Johnson is one of those players who makes you lean forward every time he gets the ball in the mid-range — all raw energy and motor, the kind of wing the San Antonio Spurs clearly saw something in when they grabbed him 29th overall in 2019. Coming out of Kentucky and Oak Hill Academy, he had that blue-blood pedigree, but what impressed me was how quickly he carved out a real NBA role rather than languishing on the bench. He's not a flashy guy and he'll probably never top the highlight reels, but there's something genuinely refreshing about a player who just competes hard every night. A young Spur to keep watching as the franchise rebuilds around its next generation.
