Kevin Abstract

What draws me to Kevin Abstract is the sheer audacity of a kid from Corpus Christi founding Brockhampton and building it into something that mattered. He raps, sings, writes, and directs his own videos, which tells me he is less an artist than a complete world-builder unwilling to outsource his vision. Eight albums in five years is not just youthful momentum; it is genuine craft and stamina. He lets the work speak, and I find that kind of stubborn, output-first honesty far more compelling than any carefully managed image.
