Kōdai Kurosaki

Kōdai Kurosaki, born in 2002 in Sanda, Hyōgo, had never acted when he beat about 5,000 applicants in a LesPros lead-role audition. He debuted in the 2023 morning drama Boogie Woogie, won a newcomer prize from the Japan Movie Critics Awards for the film Sayonara Hoyaman, and took his first lead in a film shown in the Directors' Fortnight at Cannes in 2025. For a performer barely into his twenties, that is a fast start. Come back in a few years.
