Lee Yeon-hee

Lee Yeon-hee strikes me as one of the steadier pillars of K-drama's golden era. Born in 1988 and standing a striking 174 cm, she entered through modeling but earned her place with roles in East of Eden, Miss Korea and The Package, and moved audiences in the film A Millionaire's First Love. Groomed within the SM Entertainment system, she could have coasted on looks, yet she kept proving herself through acting, with a poise that suggests the discipline of her Chung-Ang University training. She is not the loudest star, but to me she is exactly the kind of actress who quietly endures.
