Li Lung Kay

Li Lung Kay intrigues me as a performer who spans decades of Hong Kong television. An actor and singer born in 1950s British Hong Kong, he played Wang Chongyang in TVB's The Return of the Condor Heroes in 1983, was briefly with TVB in the mid-1980s and later acted for ATV. I tend to trust performers who can both sing and act, since carrying emotion through the voice demands a different kind of stage nerve. His name is pronounced exactly like that of the Tang emperor Li Longji, and he is often confused with him, which I find a charming footnote to a long career.
