My Take

Lina's path is a reminder to me that the entertainment world rarely runs in a straight line. Born Lee Ji-yeon, she first surfaced in the R&B duo Isak N Jiyeon in the early 2000s, only for it to disband by 2004. What I respect is that she didn't disappear after that setback; she resurfaced in the girl group The Grace in 2005 and also moved into musical theatre. That blend of pop origins and stage acting suggests real range to me, and a willingness to keep finding new rooms to work in. A short-lived first act didn't define her, and I find that kind of persistence quietly admirable.
