My Take
Lisa S. is an interesting case of building a career far from home. An American model and actress born in 1978, she made her name in Hong Kong, including time as a Channel V video jockey. I find that geographic leap compelling, because succeeding in the Asian entertainment market as a Western face takes real adaptability and presence. At 179 cm she had the runway frame, but the VJ work shows range beyond modeling. She married Daniel Wu in 2010, and what's clear is someone who chased opportunity across continents rather than waiting for it at home.
