My Take
What I admire most about LiSA is the sheer combustion in her voice. Coming from Seki, a small Gifu town better known for blades than ballads, she clawed her way up from an indie band to a Japan Record Award, and you can hear that struggle baked into every note. She lets the music carry the whole weight rather than her personal life, which I find genuinely refreshing in an oversharing era. Her songs marry raw aggression with unexpected tenderness, and that contrast is her signature. I think she is one of the most viscerally honest vocalists Japan has produced in years.
