Luke Goss

Luke Goss is a fascinating case study in reinvention. To my generation he's the drummer from the 80s pop band Bros, yet he quietly rebuilt himself into a genuinely menacing screen presence, Nomak in Blade II, Prince Nuada in Hellboy II, King Xerxes in One Night with the King. Walking away from teen-idol fame to grind out villain roles, then moving into producing and directing, takes a kind of courage most pop stars never find. I respect that he climbed a second mountain from scratch rather than coasting. He's earned his place as an actor, the hard way.
