My Take
Margot Robbie could have coasted on the roles Hollywood first offered her; instead she built a producing career and started manufacturing the roles she actually wanted. That, to me, is the real story. I, Tonya and Barbie are completely different films, but both exist largely because she willed them into being, and both let her play women the industry usually flattens into types. Her Harley Quinn proves she can carry a franchise; her producing instincts prove she can shape one. She clearly has zero patience for waiting to be chosen. She chooses. I respect that enormously.
