Martyn Ware

Ware fascinates me as one of the quiet architects of British electronic pop. Founding both the Human League and Heaven 17, and co-writing tracks as enduring as Being Boiled and Temptation, puts him at the very root of the synth era. What I admire most is that he never chased the spotlight; he wrote, produced, and arranged with a craftsman's discipline, shaping a cold, metallic sound that still feels oddly seductive today. That he remains active and curious decades on tells me his appetite for sound never dimmed, and I respect him as a true backroom innovator.
