My Take

Matt Harding is one of my favorite kinds of internet figure: the accidental humanist. He's a credentialed video game designer and YouTuber, yet what made him famous was simply dancing, badly and joyfully, in front of landmarks around the world. I love that the technical skills became a footnote to a much simpler idea, that strangers everywhere will happily move together for no reason at all. The 'Where the Hell is Matt?' videos read to me as a quiet argument against cynicism. He could have chased prestige, but he chose delight, and honestly that choice tells you more about him than any job title.
