Michael DeLuise

Michael DeLuise is one of those familiar faces who quietly furnished the television of my generation, from Tony in seaQuest DSV to Officer Penhall in 21 Jump Street to TJ in Gilmore Girls. What interests me most is his range beyond acting into directing and editing; understanding the machinery behind the camera tends to sharpen a performer. He rarely stole the lead, yet his characters lingered, and that kind of versatile, ego-light reliability is genuinely undervalued in the industry. Coming from a famously theatrical family, he clearly inherited an instinct for the craft.
