Michael Kiske

Michael Kiske is, for me, one of the purest voices in rock history. His soaring tenor on Helloween's Keeper of the Seven Keys defined power metal's golden era. What I admire most is his refusal to be boxed in: he stepped away from metal for years, then returned, while exploring Unisonic, Avantasia, and countless guest spots. That restlessness reads as genuine artistry rather than nostalgia. There's a clarity in his singing that goes beyond technique; it sounds emotionally transparent. An Aquarian free spirit who treats genre as a suggestion, Kiske is the rare singer whose instrument alone keeps pulling the world back to him.
