My Take

Michelle Borth strikes me as an actress who deserved a bigger lane than she got. Most people know her as Catherine Rollins on Hawaii Five-0, but her bolder, riskier work on HBO's Tell Me You Love Me showed an actress willing to be vulnerable and unglamorous when the role called for it. Coming up through modeling and a Pace University education, she has both the presence and the smarts to handle range. I find her underrated, the kind of performer who quietly grounds an ensemble. I'd have loved to see her handed a meatier lead to really stretch.
