My Take
Mili Avital's path is the kind I genuinely admire. Winning Israel's Ophir Award at nineteen already marks rare talent, but what moves me is her decision to start over, learning to act in English in New York and being discovered while waiting tables. That is luck meeting preparation, and she was clearly ready. Her later move into directing tells me she sees performance as something to keep expanding, not protect. I find that restless, pioneering spirit far more interesting than a comfortable career, and it makes her one of those artists I keep quietly rooting for.
