My Take
Mohan Agashe is one of the most quietly remarkable figures I have come across. A practicing psychiatrist who became a celebrated stage and screen actor while also teaching, he embodies a rare fusion of science and art. I suspect his clinical understanding of the human mind is precisely what lets him inhabit characters so fully. The Goethe Medal, Germany's Order of Merit, and the Padma Shri mark recognition that crosses borders. I find his refusal to choose between intellect and performance deeply inspiring, and I wish more people knew his name.
