Moses Storm

What draws me to Moses Storm is his refusal to sit in one lane. Writer, actor, comedian, performance artist all at once, born in Kalamazoo in 1990, he belongs to that breed of creators who would rather author a worldview than wait for someone else's script. I find that kind of restless, self-made artistry quietly compelling. Performers who both write and inhabit their material tend to leave a sharper fingerprint on a project than pure hired talent. I have a soft spot for these stubborn, multi-hyphenate voices, and I suspect his best, most distinctive work is still ahead of him.
