My Take
Nash Edgerton is the kind of filmmaker I instinctively trust. Coming up as a stuntman means he understands a set from the inside out, and that physical literacy bleeds into his directing in ways polished film-school grads rarely match. Working within the scrappy Blue-Tongue Films collective gave his work a handmade grit that big-budget Hollywood often sands away. He edits, performs and directs, but never feels like a dabbler. I value artists who earn their authority through sweat rather than hype, and Edgerton, often overshadowed by his actor brother, is exactly that quiet, capable presence.
