My Take
I'll be honest — Nick Frost is one of those actors who makes everything feel like a hang-out. Growing up in Dagenham and eventually becoming best mates with Edgar Wright and Simon Pegg, he turned that shambling, lovable slacker energy into something genuinely iconic. His Ed in Shaun of the Dead (2004) shouldn't work as a protagonist's best friend — he's irresponsible, kind of a disaster — yet you'd take a zombie apocalypse over losing him. Hot Fuzz and The World's End rounded out the Cornetto trilogy and proved this wasn't a one-trick pony. What I really respect is that he didn't just coast on the Pegg-Frost brand: he wrote a memoir, co-created projects, and kept expanding his range. Fifty-something, still magnetic, still funny without seeming like he's trying — that's a rare thing.
