My Take

Noah Hathaway occupies a tender corner of my childhood memory. As Atreyu in The NeverEnding Story, he carried a film that shaped a generation's imagination, and his Boxey on Battlestar Galactica added to the legend. Becoming a teen idol across Europe off the back of one luminous role is no small thing. What interests me more, though, is the harder, quieter path that follows early fame, the work of building an actual life once the spotlight dims. I respect performers who survive that transition with their dignity intact, and that's why he still earns my admiration.
