Nonso Anozie

Nonso Anozie is one of those actors whose presence reorganizes a scene the moment he walks in. I find him most compelling not as a lead but as the heavyweight character player he clearly is, from the silky menace of Xaro in Game of Thrones to the wounded tenderness of Jepperd in Sweet Tooth. The stage roots show, and that Ian Charleson Award was no fluke. What I value is his restraint: he never oversells size with volume. He lets stillness do the work. I'd happily watch him anchor a project built fully around that quiet authority.
