Mercedes Martinez

What strikes me about Mercedes Martinez is longevity. Born in Waterbury, Connecticut, and competing across AEW, ROH and WWE, she's the kind of grinder who built a reputation through years on the mat rather than overnight hype. The fact that she wrestles under a ring name while her real life stays guarded tells me she treats the craft as a profession, not a personality. At 170 cm she's never been the biggest in the room, which makes her staying power all the more impressive to me. I respect performers who outlast trends, and she clearly has. A genuine workhorse of the modern ring.
