Paddy Considine

Considine is the kind of artist I gravitate toward: a genuine multi-hyphenate who never seems to be coasting. Actor, director, screenwriter, musician, photographer out of Burton upon Trent, he could easily spread himself thin, yet his work in gritty British independent films carries real weight and conviction. Winning BAFTA recognition both as an actor and a filmmaker tells you the talent is no accident. I love performers who quietly build their own worlds rather than chase the spotlight, and Considine feels like one of the unsung backbones of contemporary British cinema.
