My Take

There is something romantic to me about a pure striker like Patrice Loko. Born in the small Loire-side town of Sully-sur-Loire and standing 178 cm, he made his living in the loneliest, most celebrated job on the pitch. As a forward who came through in the 1990s, he surely knew countless moments of that singular roar a goal unleashes, and that adrenaline is what draws me to scorers. I also appreciate that he now maintains an official site to tell his own story, a sign of someone still engaging earnestly with his legacy. A man who has known the joy of bulging a net always earns my admiration.
