My Take
Pavel Bure was pure electricity, and to me he remains one of hockey's great showmen. The Russian Rocket earned his nickname with blazing speed that turned a breakaway into theatre, and his trophy case backs the legend: the 1992 Calder as rookie of the year, back-to-back Richard Trophies as top scorer in 2000 and 2001, and a place in the Hall of Fame. Honoured by Russia with the Order of Honour and the Order of Alexander Nevsky, he was a star on both sides of the world. What I love is that he made fans hold their breath. That rare gift never gets old to me.
