Rebecca Holden

Rebecca Holden strikes me as a refreshingly self-made multi-hyphenate. Born in Dallas in 1958, she has worked as an actress, producer, singer, model and songwriter, and I read that range not as restlessness but as a deep, genuine drive to create. She went from studying voice and piano in New York and modeling as "the Breck Girl" to playing April Curtis on Knight Rider. She also has her own official website. Performers who insist on doing it all themselves, on their own terms, always earn my admiration.
